I recently retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service after growing up in Wisconsin and obtaining my Engineering degree from Purdue University. My first assignment on active duty was to Northern California. I immediately was thrilled with everything California has to offer: beautiful mountains, outstanding weather, diverse culture, and great school systems.

Laurie, my wife of 16 years is a 4th generation Northern Californian. Upon retirement, after a career of frequent moves for Laurie and our 6 children, we were fortunate to settle in Grass Valley near Laurie’s family. We selected Grass Valley for the reasonable cost of living, outstanding natural environment, good schools, and friendly, small town atmosphere.
In the Air Force I lived and owned homes in many communities so I worked with all kinds of real estate agents. Some of these agents didn’t meet my expectations.
